Colec\u021bia \u201eIoan Massoff\u201d<\/strong> este un sanctuar esen\u021bial al memoriei teatrului rom\u00e2nesc, o arhiv\u0103 vie care supravie\u021buie\u0219te \u00eentr-un peisaj cultural \u00een care grija pentru patrimoniul teatral este aproape inexistent\u0103. Denumit\u0103 dup\u0103 marele istoric al teatrului rom\u00e2nesc, colec\u021bia concentreaz\u0103 peste 8.000 de fotografii tip\u0103rite, cea mai mare colec\u021bie de programe de teatru din Rom\u00e2nia \u0219i arhive personale ale unor arti\u0219ti emblematici.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aceste materiale, care documenteaz\u0103 teatrul rom\u00e2nesc de la anii \u201940 p\u00e2n\u0103 \u00een prezent, sunt p\u0103strate \u00een condi\u021bii optime \u0219i \u00een curs de digitalizare, pentru a asigura accesul \u0219i conservarea pe termen lung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201eIoan Massoff\u201d Collection<\/strong> is a vital sanctuary of Romanian theatre memory, a living archive that survives in a cultural landscape where care for theatrical heritage is nearly absent. Named after the great historian of Romanian theatre, the collection brings together over 8,000 printed photographs, the largest collection of theatre programs in Romania, and personal archives donated by some of the country\u2019s most iconic theatre artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These materials, documenting Romanian theatre from the 1940s to the present, are preserved in optimal conditions and are currently being digitized to ensure long-term access and conservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collection\u2019s future is ambitious: we are building a unified database\u2014\u201cthe database to rule them all\u201d\u2014designed to connect and unlock the full potential of these resources. Additionally, we aim to make this archive an essential tool for student education, helping them understand and experience Romanian theatre history beyond the pages of textbooks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
